About Zizzi

Zizzi is a chain of Italian restaurants found across the United Kingdom. The chain was founded in 1999. Now the company owns 136 Zizzi restaurants in the UK. Many include a masonry oven, visible over the counter to the customers, where pizzas are prepared and then baked in the oven to order. The menu includes a selection of pasta and pizza dishes, plus salads.

It was sold by Gondola Group along with ASK Italian for £250 million to Bridgepoint Capital in February 2015.

  • We have been coming to Zizzi Notting hill for over 10 years even few times a week. My son Alex loved it.
    We had many birthdays and take away deliveries.

    Today it was a shocking disappointment that the penne pasta was removed from the menu and replaced by some other things.

    Kids were crying!!! You lost your best customers, who spent thousands in this restaurant over the years!!!

    Huge disappointment.
    How could you do that to children especially!

    Another excellent meal at Zizzi Camberley, this reall is the best of the Italian ‘chains’ by far. Also great service from our waitress, Priscilla, who was friendly, welcoming and attentive to our table requirements.

  • The cool frosty glasses are a so nice to drink a nice cool beer from so top marks for that. We have eaten here a few times now and think its a nice place with friendly staff although the hot Italian pizza i had was soggy and bland with hardly anything on it. It certainly didn’t meet my standards this time and is not worth over ten pounds so be warned.

      The family and I went to the Zizzi in Falmouth and it was a gorgeous meal! Delicious food, excellent service, a lovely atmosphere and all the staff are so friendly! Cannot wait to go back!

  • Excellent location of the new Zizzi restaurant in Bedford’s riverside, but a really poor pizza. It was bland with little pasata as a base. Certainly not worth the money.

    Have waited for months to enjoy another Zizzi meal as we do not have one near us. We ate in Taunton Zizzi on Friday evening and the food was well woth waiting for. Although the restaurant was really busy the service was faultless. We were served and waited on by 3 different people all charming and taking the time to make sure we were quite happy with our meal. We had a brilliant 3 course meal and loved all of it. How about bringing a Ziizzi to North Devon so that we can enjoy your food more often!

    Me and my partner went to Zizzi in Taunton on Friday lunchtime. To say we was impressed is an understatement, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely but most of all our server Karolina was wonderful. She was very welcoming, was friendly and smiling throughout. Will definetley recommend to friends and family and we will be returning! Best place we have been to in quite sometime.

    Meal for 3 at Camberley restaurant the food was excellent but our order took for ages we waited nearly 40 minutes for 2 pizzas and a pasta dish we had to rush our meal as we had booked cinema tickets.

    An amazing restaurant in a beautiful converted old church in the upmarket Montpelier. Full menus available for dietary requirements such as vegetarianism and veganism, deliciously made and top notch service. Will always go back.

  • Had an absolutely fab night, the manager is such a pleasant and helpful gentleman and nothing is to much trouble and our waitress was lovely. Even thou it was a friday night and was busy they were very attentive will certainly go back again the food was delicious

    I just wanted to say that me and my friend came for dinner at your chelsmford branch and staff were absolutely fantastic and dealt great with my friend resquests. And believe me he had a lot of them. Also the manager was very friendly and despite he was very bussy working in the kitchen he still found few minutes to come to us and make our evening special .
    I think it’s great to see manager working in kitchen with the team and pizza he made for us was propably the best in town .

    7 of us dined at Zizzi’s Birstsall Leeds on the 30th May 2017 at 6.30 pm and thoroughly enjoyed the food. The service was exceptional provided by Kat.

    Our waiter Marco was excellent, definitely better service than last time as the food was uncooked and twice after being made stil wasn’t cooked. This time round the food was so amazing, really enjoyable and no problems! Marco was very polite and a lovely waiter.

    I love zizzi and always visit with my family when we going to shopping but today I was disappointed walk in I asked table for 5 then the waitres sat us down but didn’t give it menu I wait 10 min and no one come around ask us till I waived to other waitres and asking what’s happened no one bring us menu …disappointed

    A friend and I had lovely meal in Zizzi in Hereford yesterday, brilliant service, served by Top staff who were so efficient, Thankyou all.

  • Hadn’t been in for over a year and went in on spur of the moment. The meal was faultless. Lots of flavours and generous portions. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic too. Would recommend and will be back!

    An excellent waiter. Unfortunately did not ask name. Particularly appreciated his understanding of my needs as I am coeliac. This is often classed as gluten free which of course it is not and he was the first waiter I have come across who knew the difference without being told Excellent in every way.

  • Four of us had a great meal at Zizzi Taunton, staff very helpful Hannah explaining what ever asked. would recommend & will be eating there again.

  • We had a really nice meal at Zizzi’s in Derby. The service was very friendly the food was tasty and prompt. We really liked it.

    One slightly perplexing thing though was when we booked that day (a Monday) we wanted a 1830 slot – we were told that only a 1800 or 1900 slot was available. All reasonable except that the entire time we were their, including leaving at 1915, there were only two other people in the place. It wont put me off as I like the place and the atmosphere.

    I have now been to ZIZZI in Southampton twice. My friends and i find it is very expensive for the quality and portion size’s of the dishes. My Calzone did not have much filling on my first visit. On the second visit my friend had the Ravioli and there was only 4 pieces another friend had the Risotto which lacked flavour and not much chicken. I really don’t know how they justify those prices. Needless to say i won’t be going back.

    Visited Zizzi Milton Keynes Hub on 28th Jan with my Wife and two friends. No booking so the restaurant did well to get us in. However, had the meanest Calzone I’ve ever seen, I was a third of the way through before I found any filling, middle third OK, final third, like the first, no filling. Found two thinly sliced pieces of chilli. Not good.

    Good service and other meals were fine.

  • Had a wonderful meal at Zizzi Birstall. Lovely decor and great to see the chefs at work. On leaving we were even asked if we had enjoyed our meals, if was our first time there etc so good customer service too.

    2nd visit to Zizzi in St Andrews and was not disappointed. From the starter to the dessert everything was fresh and very tasty. The staff are very helpful even when they were busy. Would recommend a visit.

  • I asked if they could do a vegetarian calzone str8 away “no they all have meat” I then asked do they come in frozen or made fresh” she informed me they was made fresh but she also said they won’t make a vegetarian one for me. I can’t see why it’s a big problem if they are cooked fresh can only guess it’s frozen not fresh.

    She did said “I can get you a cheese pizza” not what I wanted if I wanted a pizza I would get one. Other places do vegetarian ones why zizzis think it’s below them to serve a wide range of meals for vegetarians is beyond me I won’t be back the meal I had to get was very watery and had been cooked from frozen was disgusting and burnt in parts well done “chef” if your even trained

    but no one understands good clear English here so no point complaining again to staff they are all rude one woman kept sitting down on tables even when people are placing food orders not clean got the next person that might have to sit at that table! In all rude vile don’t come here I won’t be back at all AVOIDE IF YOUR VEGETARIAN

    Four of us had lunch at Zizzi’s Princes Square Glasgow last Monday. Following a mix-up the previous week, when a bottle of wine had been brought to my table and we assumed it was not for us (in fact it had been ordered over the phone by my sister to help my son celebrate his birthday) we had the wine on this occasion. The arrangement by Zizzi’s to make up for what had happened the previous week was generous to say the least.
    To make matters even better, we were served by a charming and helpful young man, Michal, and had a really lovely afternoon. Zizzi’s is one place I can also be assured of having a good vegan meal so we will definitely be back!

    This is my second visit to Zizzi Metrocentre Gateshead. Both times my waiter has been Valentino. He is funny charming and very helpful! The food is delicious and the atmosphere relaxed. I will be back !

  • Went to York Zizzi on Thursday night. Bill came to £69.35. Waitress asked if using Tesco Vouchers, said yes so took away print out with codes on. Said could use two £20 codes as food came to £39.35. When arriving home had an email from Tesco to say all £70 of codes had been used. On checking the receipt found that all codes have been used but 0.00 had been entered for the other £20 & £10 codes. So effectively we are £30 out of pocket. Tried to ring head office but no answer.

  • My wife and I had a fantastic meal at the Taunton Zizzi. The food and the staff were really attentive and did everything to make our evening very special. Our waiter was Karol who went out of the way to make sure we were satisfied with everything. We will be returning.

    Family meal, I had to wait for my main, when it did arrive chicken, beans and potatos swimming in sauce, made it look unappetising and taste greasy. Beans still had tails on, not prepared. Whole thing complete disappointment. We were at the Winchester branch.

  • Always good service in Zizzi and good value. The new Harrogate restaurant is a big improvement on the previous pub on this site.

    Went for a meal at Zizzi in the Westfield Centre last night before going to a show
    Our waiter (Adam) was very attentive and helpful even though we did confuse him by forgetting I had booked and wanting to change our table – he was very efficient taking our order and our food came very quickly – the meal was very tasty – whole experience very good – Thank you Adam.

    We went to the Bristol Zizzi. The food was good but more importantly our waitress was excellent-polite, friendly and fun. She knew the menu and gave appropriate answers. Her name was Ellie DS.

  • I have always been disappointed whenever I have visited an Italian Restaurant/eatery in the UK but not at Zizzi. As we entered we received a warm welcome & shown to a table right away. The waitress (Farida) was very informative re: the menu, very attentive even though she was very busy & extremely pleasant ….. a breath of fresh air compared to most other eateries where staff rush around yet you wait a very long time for your food! But not at Zizzi. The food was AMAZING, the best I have ever had (other than my own) outside of Italy & I’m Italian! Cannot fault the evening from beginning to end. Zizzi is very lucky to have staff like Farida.
