I shop at Bury St Edmunds Waitrose every week I would like to give praise to the young man on the front desk today he was very polite and helpful sorting out problems that customers had with a smile and a kind word (I wish I’d asked his name) I was told the young man is very good with computers if that helps

Ian Griffith at Gloucester Road works in wines and spirits but he does lots of other jobs well like cleaning the floor. He also knows where most things are and is willing to take you to the shelf to show you. He also goes to storage to find out if an item is still available and he will, if it is sold out, tell when when the next delivery will be. He has immaculate manners, smiles and is a big asset to the store.

Did I receive great service today? No, I didn’t! It was ok but standards are worryingly slipping away! It was better than the service I got recently at Worcester Park (what service) where the boy at the tilt just didn’t want to be there and had an attitude! But service in general is nowhere near as good as it used to be – used to take it for granted, now its a hit and miss!

Visited the Tapas bar for a quick snack with my daughter and son in law before starting our shopping today. Quite frankly, the service was extremely disappointing. We waited almost an hour to be served and there were only three other tables to be served before us. This is really unacceptable and I would be most reluctant to repeat the experience.

    Dear Ms/Sir

I find that my food shopping in the past year had been much more fun since Waitrose opened in Guildford.

To walk into the store and be greeted by the delightful Debbie with her big smile is wonderful.

She is so helpful that if a asked her to come home to cook a meal for me, I believe she would!

All of the staff are always helpful, well done to everyone.

    Regards

dear mr waitrose!! how wonderful sushui in your southend store BUT oh dear i couldnt have any of it i am coeliac no wheat and they all showed wheat in ingredients I spoke to the helpful man in charge and he said it was in the soy sauce but i can buy gluten free soy sauce and it tastes the same so wouldnt it be wonderful if you or the franchise company could consider doing this . PS did you know all M & S sausages and sausage meat are gluten free Now theres a challenge for you..In fairness you have stepped up with your Free From food especially fish fingers fish cakes and pies so thank you for that.

With a little trepidation I went to Newark Waitrose today to return a faulty table lamp purchased from John Lewis.I thought “this could take some time”.I need’nt have worried. The whole process was dealt with immediately and simply. After a little shopping I was in and out in 5 minutes, most pleased with the friendly and efficient service I received.

Pleasant staff. The waitrose card is difficult to choose your favourites even staff have agreed that it can be difficult automatic discounts would be a better option. Parking can be difficult not everyone wants 2 hour parking some of us want to just get our shopping and go home . Ever thought of splitting the car park into short stay area s.

We ordered two toasted tea cakes at 12.09pm and were served at 12.31am.Thet were barely toasted and not warm. Also the hot drinks would have been cold if we had waited for the food order.Very disappointed.

Excellent efficient & friendly service today. This was despite it being an extremely busy Friday
Regarding the free newspaper (if you spend more than £5), I was disappointed that the minimum spend had increased to £10. The disappointment was more in the fact that I was unaware of this change. I don’t think it had been publicised enough. It’s still a good deal though, as is the periodic 25% saving if you buy six bottles or more of wine…

Unable to buy celery, they had run out. Bought a bottle of Bourbon and came through self scan checkout which called for helper to ensure I was over 18. However she did not remember to take the security tag off the bottle which I discovered when unpacking the shopping. I now have to return to the store, a 6mile round trip.

Good service all round, when seeking advice, and enjoy the quick pay, especially when I am in a hurry. One bit of advice I asked for was, did they still have Secret Cellar wine, which had been on offer for £4.99 – alas no, but recommended one similar for £5.49. I had however, chosen to have Whale Caller, which I had tried in the past.

I bought 2 trout fillets 24/11/16 from Rustington store. Fillets priced at two for £6, lady on the counter explained that although it showed £6.98 on packaged fish, at the checkout it would readjust to £6.. Didn’t look at receipt as she was so adamant, and also was having problem with money off tokens. Am not happy, I have been a Waitrose shopper for at least 30 years and feel frustrated that as a regular my offers are negligible, people who you are trying to woo get £8 off a £40 shop!!
